Every bone in his body is undoubtedly funny, but the Family Guy creator has so much more up his sleeve. Apart from doing Ted, American Dad, and A Million Ways to Die in the West, what else is Seth MacFarlane up to?
Seth almost died in 9/11.
The only reason Seth didn’t get on the hijacked flight that crashed into the Twin Towers is that he arrived late and missed his flight. “I really can’t let it affect me because I’m a comedy writer. I have to put that in the back of my head,” he says.
MacFarlane almost got crushed by a bus.
Talk about another close call! When he was four, their family Volkswagen Bus slipped and his mother got him and his sister out in time. Unfortunately, the bus tipped and pinned his mother, causing her pelvis to shatter.
He plans to do Broadway someday.
A lot of people have approached him to do it, and he’s mulling it over. “If I did a Broadway musical, I’d probably want to do something a little bit more old-fashioned,” he says.
Singing is a natural talent.
Music Is Better Than Words is his debut album, and it was nominated for a Grammy among many other critical praises. Seth MacFarlane loves Frank Sinatra, and he’s one of his greatest inspirations.
MacFarlane used to work for Hanna-Barbera.
As a new graduate, Seth contributed to Cow and Chicken, Johnny Bravo, and Dexter’s Laboratory.
He finds dating to be difficult.
After splitting from Game of Thrones powerhouse Emilia Clarke, the media just went wild. “It’s a pain in the ass because if you date, at a certain point you’re in a relationship and at a certain point you’re playing the field,” he shares.
