The Hunger Games star may be an award-winning actress, but she’s played it so cool that everyone wants to be her BFF. Here’s why:
1. She fell at the Oscars. Twice.
Only Jennifer Lawrence can fall with such grace and then totally laugh it off afterwards.
2. Jennifer Lawrence has a thing for photobombing famous celebrities.
3. She fangirls like a normal person.
Jennifer was just as starstruck towards Jeff Bridges and Jack Nicholson when she met them.
4. Jennifer Lawrence is a great role model.
She started her acting career at a very young age, playing a captivating role as a 9-year-old prostitute in a local theatre play based on “The Book of Jonah”.
JLaw is a natural: she neither took acting classes, nor performed in school. She got very close to be chosen for several major roles: Lisbeth, in “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo”, Bella Swan in “Twilight” and Emma Stone’s character in “Superbad”.
The perfect opportunity finally came along when she played Katniss Everdeen in “The Hunger Games”, and her success kept growing with Ree Dolly in “Winter’s bone” and the unforgettable Mystique in “X-Men”.
After her stupendous performance in “Silver Lining Playbook”, she received her first Academy Award and became the first Kentuckian actress to win an Oscar since Patricia Neal in 1986, which is a huge achievement for a 24-year-old.
5. She once stalked John Stamos.
“I was like following him into rooms and staring at his ass…He asked me if I was on mushrooms and I said, ‘No. I’m dead sober. This is just me,” she shared.
6. No amount of wardrobe malfunction can stop her.
Jennifer took it like a pro.
Jennifer Lawrence’s gown had a little mishap causing her to show some skin at the Screen Actors Guild Awards 2013, but she’s a trooper.
7. Mints are not Jennifer’s best friend.
Looks like it should be called Catching Mints instead.
While at the ‘Catching Fire’ Madrid Press Conference, she tried to open a pack of mints and ended up spilling it all over herself.
8. Jennifer Lawrence cares.
She’s active in various charities like The Special Olympics, DoSomething.org, Feeding America, , The Thirst Project, and World Food Programme.
9. She admitted to peeing in the ocean on set for The Hunger Games.
“We could run into the ocean and pee together,” she said about her co-star, Josh Hutcherson.
